The compact digital camera as an SLR? The revolution of micro 4 / 3

Even with the normal lens mounted restano comunque più piccole di certe compatte bridge.Sia la E-P1 che la GF1 hanno un corpo spesso 3,5 cm. circa che diventano 7 circa con lo zoom normale montato,meno ancora se montano gli appositi fissi ultrapiatti che stanno uscendo dalle case .Nei forum oltreoceano il consiglio per la E-P1 è di acquistarla con l'obiettivo in kit ,il 14-42 (corrispondente ad un classico 28-84mm sul formato fotografico a pellicola 35mm), che è dato come valido.Certo,ci sono note dolenti,come l'autofocus un pò lento dell'E-P1, l'assenza di mirini interni per entrambe o il costo ancora alto :650-750 € circa il corpo dell'E-P1 con l'obiettivo in kit .Ma se il mercato seguirà il trend che sembra affermarsi,presto i prezzi dovranno calare.
Il parco obiettivi a disposizione è già sufficiente e si sta ingrandendo.Sono anche in produzione anelli per montare gli obiettivi (anche vecchi ) delle case più famose (Canon F,Olympus OM,Leica M,Nikon F,Contax/Yashica,Pentax,ecc.) sui corpi m4/3.Va ricordato che entrambe le attuali compatte micro 4/3 fanno anche ottimi filmati in HD a 720p.

Sarà vera rivoluzione?
Sicuramente la voglia di fare foto migliori con le compatte sta crescendo.Non a caso Canon ha rivoluzionato il concetto di crescita infinita dei pixel calandoli da 15 a 10 dalla G10 alla nuova G11 ,per lasciare spazio a foto un pizzico meno definite ma senz'altro più pulite.Anche la nuova Canon S90 che segue la politica di sensori più grandi iniziata da Fuji e poi seguita da Panasonic con la LX3 è un'altro segnale in questa direzione.
Se poi sarà il micro 4/3 a vincere la battaglia del mercato nelle compatte, non è dato di saperlo,ma siamo senza dubbi all'inizio di un nuovo modo di intendere la fotografia digitale,anche quella amatoriale.

New Canon SX20, G11, S90, IXUS 200

La prima è la Canon Powershot SX20 IS,erede della valida SX10 ,l'antagonista diretta della Panasonic FZ28 ,queste ultime 2 le più celebri bridge ultrazoom dell'anno passato.Adesso,questo SX20 dovrà vedersela con la Panasonic FZ38 .Le novità principali sono;
-- i prevedibili 2 milioni di pixel in più (da 10 a 12),
--il filmato HD a 720p (col quale Canon colma un gap con Pana non da poco),
--l'attacco HDMI
--il flash è dato come più potente
In pratica,è una SX10 più orientata all'uso ibrido.Restano le stesse generose focali (28-560mm) e la stessa luminosità della SX10,così come resta l'utilissimo LCD snodabile da 2,5".La competizione è aperta e a breve avremo i primi test:l'impressione è che nell'update la SX20 abbia messo più impegno della FZ38,anche perchè sta uscendo quasi allo stesso prezzo (360€,circa,online),mentre la differenza di prezzo fra sx10 e fz28 non era piccola a vantaggio di quest'ultima.Le resta la lacuna del RAW che manca,ma sinceramente,coi jpeg pesanti attuali la differenza non è più così grande.La attendiamo anche sul PF,punto debole un pò di tutte le bridge ultrazoom Canon degli ultimi anni.

Coraggiosa scelta di Canon per la G11,la nuova ammiraglia della storica serie G;ha calato i megapixel a 10!!!Pensare che la G10 li aveva portati a 15...
Perderà qualcosa in risoluzione,ma finalmente avremo foto pulite grazie al sensore grande con (relativamente) pochi pixel.La famosa nebbiolina dell'ultimo algoritmo antirumore Canon finalmente si diraderà....sfoltire i megapixel è il miglior noise reduction che ci sia!

News coming from Panasonic The most anticipated is the Lumix FZ38 (FZ35 in the U.S.), heir to a good bridge ultrazoom FZ28.Rispetto latter la 38 ha 12 megapixel anzichè 10 (ma su sensore di pari dimensioni..),un comparto video migliorato col suono stereo e con più ampie possibilità di intervento manuale sui video,tra cui vari programmi di sensibilità e la scelta dei tempi fra 1/30 e 1/20.000 (!!),una più efficace stabilizzazione foto/video in generale.La FZ38 monta il processore Venus HD che è 2,4 volte più rapido del precedente Venus 4.

L'obiettivo ha la stessa focale (27/486mm) e la stessa luminosità della FZ28.

Per quanto riguarda la qualità immagine,i test e i pareri degli users in rete sono ancora rari e contraddittori,ma ad una prima impressione aver pigiato altri 2 milioni di pixel nel sensorino potrebbe aver portato a noise equal to or worse than the FZ28, just as there is any doubt about the purple fringing.Anche more quickly in AF, which is expected to be brought from Venus HD, is not so obvious, given that a test gives the network an average of more slow FZ28.
