NEW: THE Advanced 3D: HDMI 1.4

Both the consumer demands that the research and production of large multinational consumer electronics are converging towards the reproduction of 3D content .

There is the need to reproduce a more faithful and absorbing material multimediale di derivazione cinematografica o di computer grafica ( videogames ).

Essa sarà compatibile con la tecnologia 3D di seconda generazione , ovvero di visualizzazione multiple 3D , scan rate higher than 200Hz to high resolutions (maybe even at 4K) and progressive scan . In any event, even version 1.4 will be backward compatible with earlier versions of the interface.

Also there is news in the field of holography. L ' NICT, National Institute of Information Technologies and Communication from Japan, has developed a new technology capture and playback of moving images holographic superior to all current technologies, which require the use of rooms dark and laser.
Images can be captured in environments normal, even bright , with a special camera equipped with optical microlenses to acquire more information about the shooting angle, and this lens is then also used for playback.
RGB images are reproduced by individual LCD panels illuminated by lasers at specific wavelengths , thus allowing playback of video in color, but when small (1 cm) because of the angle of field shoot / reproduction of only 2 °.

HOLOGRAMS AND NEW: THE 4K A STANDARD HOME?

We had talked recently of RED RAY , storage technology 4K movies based on optical media on red laser, but apparently is not only the RED Digital Cinema to invest in this technology.
This is the time of Royal Digital Media and DigitalStream , that in their press release announced the adoption of a system of military encryption 2048 bit to protect the material contained in a new film support based on the "old" red laser that can store up to 100GB of data , or about 4 hours of material to 1920p resolution, very close to 4K resolution film , ie 4096x2048pixel.
Apparently the Blu Ray will start to shake, as this new technology allows the use of
conventional production lines of DVD , with a simple firmware update and software of management. The news
attractive is that the first readers were already a few months , both here in Asia than in Europe (finally we are among the first few times), at similar prices to the current generation of DVD players (upscaling) .
We look forward to a new format war?
